Checking out a licence from the key server

Start the KeyCheckout client from the starting menu or from C:\Program Files\Sassafras K2\Client bzw. C:\Program Files(x86)\Sassafras K2\Client, according to the installed version.

The mainwindow, in which all checkable programs are listed, comes up.
First, the local hard disc drives of the client should be indicated, so that the KeyCheckout Client knows, where it must look for installed software. That is possible via File-Scannable Drives.

Subsequently it is possible to pull the desired license from the upper window into the lower window via Drag&Drop. A Window opens, in which the duration of the loan can be set.

With that the license is checked and the keyed program can be used locally.

The loan duration of the license can afterwards be modified with the slide control.

Return of a License to a Keyserver

 

The license will be returned to the keyserver after passing the loan duration automatically.
It can also be returned manually, by dragging the slide control completely to the left or moving the license via Drag&Drop into the upper list of licenses.
