The IVV Natural Sciences

The IVV Natural Sciences is a joint operating unit of the Departments of Biology, Chemistry and Pharmacy and Physics. It also includes associated institutes from the Department of Earth Sciences, as well as the Battery Research Center MEET.

Mission of the IVV Natural Sciences

The mission of the IVV Natural Sciences is to oversee the decentralized IT in the three departments of Physics, Chemistry and Pharmacy, and Biology and the associated institutes.

IVV Natural Sciences' fields of activity include, but are not limited to:

• setup, maintenance and operation of the central IT system of the IVV Natural Sciences from both the hardware and software side (devices, operating systems and system-related software),
• setup, maintenance and operation of IT equipment in the deaneries and other central facilities of the divisions,
• the support of the department-specific but cross-institutional application software that is not provided centrally,
• Coordinate services with WWU IT and other IVVs
