     You can open Windvi on every computer of IVV Naturwissenschaften from the start menu.
     

Windvi is a package for previewing dvi files in Windows. Windvi was the result of an exercise to port the Unix-based Xdvi for use under Win32, for the fpTEX system. As it turned out, the exercise became much more than a port, since X Windows is far removed from Win32; the entire user interface and graphical part were rewritten. The main features of Windvi are as follows: Monochrome or grayscale bitmaps (antialiasing) for fonts, easy navigation through the DVI file, different reduction factors for zooming in and out of the page, understanding of Omega's extended DVI files.
