MathCADis a computer algebra system. Mathcad is less powerful than Maple and Mathematica for symbolic computations, but is widely used by engineers, economists, and scientists because of its numerical computational capabilities and the ability to be extended with extension packages on various topics. The MathCAD interface allows the user to combine a variety of different elements (mathematics, descriptive text, and supporting visuals) into a worksheet in which dependent calculations are dynamically recalculated as inputs change.
