ImageJ is an image editing and processing program used, among other things, to measure structures on microscope images. ImageJ can display, edit, analyze, process, save and print 8-bit color and grayscale, 16-bit integer and 32-bit floating point images. ImageJ can calculate area and pixel value statistics of user-defined selections and intensity-weakened objects, and measure distances and angles.
More information on ImageJ can be found here.
