Falko Schappacher ist seit September 2016 kaufmännisch-technischer Direktor des MEET Batterieforschungszentrums. Seit seiner Promotion (2008) in Anorganischer Festkörperchemie blickt er auf eine langjährige Erfahrung in verschiedenen Positionen an der WWU und dem MEET Batterieforschungszentrum zurück. In seiner Zeit am MEET hat er zahlreiche Förderprojekte von der Idee, über die Antragsstellung und das Projektmanagement hin zum Projektabschluss betreut. Falko Schappacher ist an mehr als 50 wissenschaftlichen Publikationen sowie zahlreichen Konferenzbeiträgen beteiligt.

Forschungsschwerpunkte: Alterung von Lithium-Ionen Batterien, Rasterelektronenmikroskopie und EDX, Röntgen-Diffraktometrie, Mößbauer-Spektroskopie
