Aerosol Particles in the Atmosphere

Aerosol particles play important roles in radiation transport within the atmosphere, as toxic substances, as cloud condensation nuclei, and as vehicles for long range transport of various substances. We study the chemical composition of aerosol particles as function of their sizes as well as turbulent exchange processes of particles near the surface. We apply eddy covariance in the size spectrum of aerosol particles.
