Interim funding for female academics in externally financed temporary positions during periods of parental or maternity leave
Academics can apply for project funding from the University of Münster to cover financial shortfall as a result of taking a maternity or parental leave of absence from an externally financed position which cannot be prolonged (see table).
The following provisions apply to fixed-term contracts at the University of Münster:

This programme provides some financial security to academics on maternity or parental leave to return to their former position. The funding covers part-time positions for up to three months. Please note that funding is limited and can only be granted if other financing options (e.g. through the respective institute) are unavailable or do not suffice.
