The Equal Opportunity Office is responsible for implementing § 1 (1) of the State Gender Equality Act (LGG) guaranteeing the fundamental right to gender equality for women and men. In accordance with this law and other regulations on gender equality, women are afforded additional support in order to reduce existing disadvantages. The Equal Opportunity Office is also responsible for improving the life-work balance for women and men alike.
