Prof. Dr Barbara Grüter


GrueterI am a Professor for Human-Computer Interaction at the University of Applied Sciences in Bremen since 2001.

My research interests encompass applied and basic research within the fields of game studies, and Human Computer Interaction. Both fields are integrated in the work of our research group Gangs of Bremen, focusing on mobile gaming experiences.

 

Dr Peter Kiefer


Peter Kiefer a post doctoral researcher, building up a Mobile Eye Tracking lab at the Chair of Geoinformation Engineering at the ETH Zurich, Switzerland.

My Reaserach interests include:

  • Mobile GIS and Mobile Assistance
  • Spatial Cognition, Mobile Decision Making, and Wayfinding
  • Gaze-Based Mobile Human Computer Interaction
  • Learning in Space, Spatial Technologies for Learning
  • Interpretation of Mobile Behavior, Mobile Intention Recognition
  • Location-Based Games: Theory, Design, Edutainment

My research focuses on the improvement of mobile GIS and location-based services. I'm interested in people's attention and intentions while using these systems, and in new assistive technologies that can help to improve the interaction with mobile geo-spatial services.

Kate Chapman


Kate Chapman

Kate Chapman is the Acting Executive Director at the Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Team. Her most recent work has been in Indonesia working on a pilot program over the past year analyzing the feasibility utilizing OpenStreetMap for collection of exposure data. This project has hosted a OpenStreetMap mapping competition, a month long event to map critical infrastructure in Jakarta and assisting community faciliators in moving from hand-drawn maps to digital maps. Previous to working at HOT Kate was involved in development of multiple web-GIS applications including GeoCommons and iMapData.
