    Laufendes Projekt: Gender and Holistic Mission: A Christian Response to the Lobi/Birifor Marriage for an Effective Transformational Development in West Africa (Burkina Faso, Côte d’Ivoire and Ghana) [Arbeitstitel]

    In meinem aktuellen Forschungsprojekt untersuche ich anhand des Fallbeispiels der Lobi/Birifor-Ehe die Rolle von Frauen vom Haushalt bis hin zur Gesamtgesellschaft. Dafür werde ich einige der Belastungen, die Frauen aufgrund der Bedeutung der Lobi/Birifor-Ehe auferlegt werden, untersuchen. Zudem werde ich der Frage nachgehen, inwiefern diese Belastungen das Leben von Frauen sowohl in der Gesellschaft als auch in der Kirche beeinflussen – insofern, als dass sie in der vollen Partizipation an gesellschaftlichen Prozessen eingeschränkt werden, obwohl deutlich wird, dass sie die Hauptakteurinnen für eine bedeutsame Entwicklung in der Welt sind. 

    Meine Arbeit beschäftigt sich mit den folgenden Fragen:

    • Wie können ungerechte gesellschaftliche Strukturen vom Haushalt bis zur Gesamtgesellschaft sowie in der Kirche angefragt werden, sodass die Lobi/Birifor-Frauen befähigt werden, gut und erfolgreich zu leben und sich auf kompetente Weise an der ganzheitlichen Veränderung der Welt zu beteiligen?
    • Auf welche Weise interpretiert die christliche Botschaft die Lobi/Birifor-Ehe sowie den Umgang mit Frauen und wie könnte eine christliche Antwort aussehen, die wahre Transformation ermöglicht?
