“Encontros Universitários”: WWU takes part in Event of the Federal University of Ceará

The University of Münster together with the German Centre for Research and Innovation São Paulo (DWIH), the University of Potsdam (UP), the DAAD, the DFG and the g.a.s.t was invited to take part in the session “Study in Germany” of the congress “University Meetings” (in Portuguese “Encontros Universitários”) organised by the Federal University of Ceará (UFC) on last 11 March 2021. The DAAD lecturer and visiting professor Dr. Reseda Streb mediated the session, in which Katy dos Santos from the Brazil Centre presented the WWU and the Brazil Centre itself by emphasizing its focus on promoting cooperation between Münster and Brazil. At the end of the session, the audience took the opportunity to ask questions to the representatives of the participating institutions.

The UFC, through the "University Meetings", which took place this year from 10 to 12 March, aims at widely disseminating the activities of teaching, research, post-graduate studies, extension, art and culture as well as the experiences of its students.

Die University of Münster maintains a cooperation agreement with the Federal University of Ceará since 2016. Nonetheless, the two universities maintain an excellent collaborative partnership that precedes its formalization in a few years, based on joint activities carried out by several of their professors.

In 2020, the WWU has already participated in a bilateral event with the UFC.
