The Faculty of Biology currently offers four high-profile graduate programs for doctorate candidates. Our doctoral students benefit from a wide range of facilities and resources of one of the largest universities in Germany and from close cooperation with the Max Planck Institute for Molecular Biomedicine and the Fraunhofer Institute for Molecular Biology and Applied Ecology.
Each program provides a stimulating environment for excellent doctoral research. The programs offer continuous support throughout the doctoral phase from help with accomodation and administrative matters to scientific advice on design and realization of doctoral projects. Advanced scientific training and transferable skills courses are an integral part of the programs.
We invite highly motivated applicants to join one of the following graduate programs:
Cells in Motion (CiM) Graduate School and
International Max Planck Research School - Molecular Biomedicine (IMPRS-MBM)
- joint graduate program with focus on molecular biomedicine and molecular cell biology
Dynamik Cellular Interfaces CRC 1348
