The next meeting of the autobiography forum will take place on Friday, 25 of June, 2021 at 10:15 am. It is intented to continue the discussion on natality and autobiographical birth scenes. Central to the discussion will be the texts of Benvenuto Cellini, A. F. Th. van der Heijden and Ahmad Faris al-Shidyaq.
On Friday, May 11, 2021 from 4-6 pm another meeting of the "autobiography forum" takes place that will focus on the topic of "natality". The discussion will draw on the already existing collection of texts from the first meeting adressing this topic, but is also open to new text suggestions if they are handed in on time. The next meeting of the "AutobiographieForum" will take place on Tuesday, 28th January 2020, from 4:30 until 6:30 pm in the Vom-Stein-Haus, Schlossplatz 34, room 155 (conference room).
It is the aim, to theoretically sharpen the theme and concept of "natality" as it is described by Hannah Arendt and then, in a second step, to question its productivity for literary studies in selected birth scenes in autobiographical texts.
