The butterfly effect rests on the notion that the world is deeply interconnected, such that one small occurrence can influence a much larger complex system. How do our daily decisions about what we wear or buy impact the lives of others? We understand fashion as a complex system of relationships. What can we do, and why are there certain things we can do to mend the present and weave a different future?
