On Thursday 4th of November, Ross Julian presented some initial findings of the BiSp funded project Motorische Leistung in Sand (MotLeistSand). The oral presentation provided information about the validity of using portable devices to measure jumping performance on the sand. This is a topic of much interest for practitioners working in beach handball or sports performed on the sand. There are currently no devices explicitly designed to measure jumping performance in sport-specific conditions.
