Practical seminar: Performance testing with U15 female footballers.

Within the seminar “Trainingswissenschaftliche Dienstleitungen in der Praxis” (work unit Performance and Training in Sports) students are providing scientific support to the girls of the under 15 football team of Münster 08. Targetting improvements in, passing accuracy, acceleration and maximum sprint velocity, all in collaboration with the coach. Additionally, training and match physical load will be monitored using GPS devices, investigating total distances covered in a variety of speed zones and sprinting performance. During matches, video analyses is also being performed to collect technical information; such as possession, passing and shooting success. We have completed the pre-testing, assessing sprinting and acceleration performance (20 m sprint and the 505 agility test) as well as passing accuracy (Loughborough Passing Test). Starting this week, the students will be completing a 5 week intervention to improve the pre test values.
