Graduate School European Classics

The Graduate School European Classics began its work in the winter term 2010/2011. The GSEC was initiated by a cooperation of scholars from about 20 different fields. Its aim is to provide a structured programme for doctoral candidates and to outline a common object of research. This emerged from the conviction that interdisciplinary research is at its best when there is a clearly specified topic all participants can work on together. The graduate school has chosen as its object of research what could be described as “Classic and Classics.”
