Graduate School Empirical and Applied Linguistics
The Graduate School Empirical and Applied Linguistics (GS EAL) was founded in 2009. It offers promising young researchers an interdisciplinary and structured doctoral programme with a focus on linguistics.
Professors from a broad range of subjects (e. g. general linguistics, second language acquisition/applied linguistics, different philologies, psychology, psycholinguistics) are participating, thus ensuring multidisciplinary collaboration. The goal of the doctoral programme is to ensure that the doctoral candidate is proficient in various methods of linguistic data collection and analysis and can therefore use these methods in a critical and reflected way in orginal research.
