The Max Planck Institute of Biophysics, Department of Theoretical Biophysics in Frankfurt am Main has openings for:
Two PhD Positions: RNA Folding and FunctionThe Department of Theoretical Biophysics, has two openings for PhD students. The openings are within the recently established Emmy Noether Research group.
The work focuses on the theoretical description of the interaction between RNA and metal cations using computer simulations and methods from statistical physics (see job advertisement for further details). Candidates with expertise in methods such as all-atom and coarse-grained simulations, QM/MM simulations, high performance computing, advanced sampling techniques, Poisson-Boltzmann theory, and programming are highly encouraged to apply.
