Bachelor's grade calculator

Bachelor’s grade (B. Sc.)

The exam regulations determine which modules with which weights form the final grade on the bachelor’s degree. Since the individual grades enter with different weights and there are some special rules (e. g. only the best two grades from the modules Physics I, Physics II and Physics III and only the best grade from Fundamental Mathematics (Mathematics for Physicists II) and Integration Theory (Mathematics for Physicists III) enters), it’s cumbersome to calculate the total grade by hand.

For this reason, we’ve created a calculator where you only have to put in your individual grades to have the final calculated as the output. You can get an official confirmation about your preliminary grade (e. g. for the application to the master’s program) in the exams office.

Privacy notice: You don’t have to worry that someone might see your grades if you enter them here. The calculator is programmed entirely in JavaScript without any server access. This means that the entered grades are never transmitted over the network – everything stays locally on your device. In order for the calculator to work, you have to enable JavaScript in your browser, of course.

Calculating the average grade in the B. Sc. Physics program at WWU Münster

With this little tool, the final average grade for the bachelor’s program can be calculated. This can be done by simply entering a corresponding grade for each module. If there is no official grade yet, an expected one must be entered.

Interdisciplinary Studies The grade for the module Interdisciplinary Studies is formed, depending on the subject, as described in the exam regulations. (The weights for the individual exams have to be entered manually. E. g. in the case of Computer Science: 50–50.)

By clicking the following button, you can “save” your entered data to the URL. In order to load the data later on, you have to save the URL somewhere – for example, you can set a bookmark after clicking the button.

Once again, we’d like to emphasize that all data remains on your device. The data are saved within the URL fragment which is never transmitted by the browser to the opened website.

Originally, the calculator existed in the form of an Excel spreadsheet. If you prefer this version, you can still get it using the link.
