Learning Center in the Library of the Institute of Applied Physics
The Learning Center in the Library of the Institute of Applied Physics is located in the Lecture Hall Building, R. 318. In addition to the Physics Learning Center, the library is also home to the library of the Center for Nonlinear Science and the Gender Library of the Physics Department.
Opening hours Summer Term 2024
- Wednesday: 9:00 - 12:00 a.m.
- Thursdays: 1:00 - 4:00 p.m.
In the learning center in the library there are:
- Textbooks for all lectures and practical courses of the bachelor's program
- Textbooks and reference books for all physics majors in the master's program
- Textbooks on the topics "Nonlinear Physics", "Photonics
- Textbooks on seminar lectures, practicals, theses, etc.
- Bachelor and master theses
The library is a reference library. Employees of the Institute of Applied Physics are allowed to take books to their workplace for a short time. Students are allowed to borrow and return books within one day. The identity card has to be handed in as a deposit.
The team in the library also offers the following services:
Assistance
- in searching for or borrowing books (guide title search ULB catalog)
- with the operation of the printer/scanner, overview with the programs available to students (guide printer, guide programs)
- with binding
Support and tips for questions concerning studies, for example
- about the course of studies
- about exams
- how to write a protocol (protocol guide)
- preparing a seminar presentation (Guide to Preparing a Seminar Presentation)
- graphical analysis with programs such as GnuPlot, Origin (Guide to Graphical Analysis, Instructions for Plot, Data)
