• long time behaviour and stability of the IR converter,
• optimisation of spatial resolution,
• increasing the output intensity by changing gas, phosphor layers,
• development of a smaller and more compact cell modeule as prototype,
• direct opitcal coupling between output of IR converter and CCD camera,
• numerical simulations of the IR converter based on Monte Carlo Simulations,
• investigations of mechanism of generation of signal and noise,
• increasing of sensitivity of the IR converter.

Main purpose of these activities is to improve quality of the IR converter and test this system in real applications. A few applications are presented in the next topic "Application"
