Research Focus
The relation between chemistry and texture across shear zone
The Precambrian granulite facies rocks from the Western coast of Norway, Bergen Arcs, are partialy hydrated in amphibolite and eclogite facies rocks. All these rocks have the same composition for the major elements which mean that locally, elements have to move during the hydration episode to create these news minerals. To understand this phenomenon where a fluid who goes through a low permeability rock and induces different reaction, microprobe, SEM, modelling a phase equilibria are powerfull tools to understand the relation between small and macro scale.
