    Fynn Schmidt studied Sociology, Economics, and Political Science in Münster and Guadalajara from 2017 to 2024. During his studies, he completed research internships at the UN Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC), the GIGA Institute for Latin American Studies, and the Central American Parliament (PARLACEN). From 2021 to 2024, he worked as a student assistant at the Chair of International Relations and Sustainable Development, contributing to research projects on sustainable lifestyles, social participation in the bioeconomy, human rights policy, and sustainability in higher education institutions.
     

    Since 2024, he works as a research associate at the Center for Interdisciplinary Sustainability Research (ZIN) in the project "LATERNE – University in the Anthropocene: Lighthouse Adaptation and Transfer for Sustainable Development."
