Uni Cloud Münster

Service: Uni Cloud Münster is an on-premise private cloud, operated by CIT in its own server rooms. It provides IaaS, PaaS and SaaS offerings free of charge to administrators and research groups at University of Münster.

The Uni Cloud enables researchers to store research data and operate services that work closely with this research data or make it available. Access to research data is possible from workstations, via the PALMA HPC cluster, from the JupyterHub or from VMs via various protocols.

General central services can also be provided by administrators via the Uni Cloud. Services are operated either in OpenStack with VMs or in Kubernetes with containers, with the latter being particularly suitable for web services.

The Uni Cloud also offers some SaaS services, e.g. monitoring via Grafana, a container registry or an OpenID Connect authentication proxy to the DFN-AAI.
