Programming in C++
Content: C++ is a very popular and much used object oriented programming language, which can be compiled to optimized machine code. Regular updates of the standardized language lead to a growing attractivity in high level programming. In this course, we will use C++17 according to the ISO/IEC standard. The strong downward compatibility to C and good integration into common operating systems makes C++ also an ideal language for system programming.
Format: This course consists of a lecture block in the morning, where we will also discuss the exercises. For creating solutions for the exercises, we provide an interactive web-based development environment at http://jupyterhub.wwu.de [en]. In the afternoon, we plan a question time for questions about the exercises. More information about the lecture and the script can be found in time before the start of the lecture at https://cppvorlesung.wwu.de.
Target Group: Students and Staff, Knowledge of another programming language is helpful, but is not required.
Credit Points: 3 CP within the General Studies in case of successful participation in the course and the final test
