Create Mattermost team (team leader)

A Mattermost team serves as a superordinate organizational unit, e.g. of a department or working group. Within this superordinate organizational unit, there are smaller units, so-called channels.

    1. Create new team (1)
    Click on the "+" symbol on the left-hand side to create a new team.

    2. Create new team (2)
    You now have the option of joining an existing team from the list or creating a new team. Click on "Create a team".

    3. Assign a team name
    Enter a name for the team (e.g. "AG Test") and click on "Next".

    4. Select web address
    Specify the URL for the team. If possible, select the team name for this (e.g. "ag-test"). Click on "Finish".

    5. Invite team members
    Click on the name of your team. A menu will appear. Select "Invite people" there.

    6. Send invitation
    You can now either search in the text field for people who already use Mattermost. Alternatively, you can click on "Copy invitation link" if you want to invite people to the team with a link.
