Join Mattermost team (team members)

A Mattermost team serves as a superordinate organizational unit, e.g. of a department or working group. Within this superordinate organizational unit, there are smaller units, so-called channels.

You have various options for communicating within your team:

  • Public channels: All members of a team can write and read in public channels.
  • Private channels: Private channels are only visible to selected team members. Every member of a private channel can add further members, but only the channel manager and the team leader can remove other members.
  • Direct messages: Direct messages are intended for conversations between two people or within small groups. They are only visible to the people involved.

    1. Search team
    If you have received an invitation link for a Mattermost team, all you need to do is follow the link. However, you can also join a team manually. To do this, click on the "+" symbol on the left-hand side
