Integrating Search Engines in Firefox
In Firefox, you can integrate search engines and search tools via the settings menu. This enables a simple and particularly fast search.
Setting Your Default Search Engine
Open Firefox. Click on the menu icon at the top right and select "Settings". Then click on the item "Search". You will now see an overview of the available setting options.
In the section "Default Search Engine" you can use the drop-down menu to determine which search engine Firefox uses in the address and search bar. If the desired search engine is not available, you can add it (see next tab).
Note: When you enter a search term in the address or search bar, the other search engines are also displayed with the note "Search once with:" before you press "Enter".
Integrating New Search Engines
Open Firefox. Click on the menu icon at the top right and select "Settings". Then click on the item "Search". You will now see an overview of the available setting options.
To add a new search engine, click on "Find more search engines".
You will now be taken to the Firefox Add-Ons. Search for the desired search engine and select it from the list. Then click on "Add to Firefox".
Note: Pay attention to whether an add-on is recommended by Firefox and thus meets the highest standards of security, functionality and user experience. Recommended add-ons are marked with a trophy icon.
