During the talk, we will set up the machinery of homological algebra which applies to a range of triangulated categories arising in stable homotopy theory, representation theory and Kasparov theory of noncommutative spaces. Concentrating on the latter, we will continue by showing how this framework can be used to assign interesting invariants (like topological spaces or lattices) to such categories.
