In this talk, I will explain, using a standard Poisson equation, how the software works. That is, how we define meshes, function spaces, boundary conditions, variational formulations, etc. Next we will see how FEniCS can be used to solved more complication problems, in particular, how it can be used to solve a PDE-constrained optimization problem, formulated in a KKT setting.
