Research Assistant (E 13 TV-L)

The Business Chemistry Group at the University of Münster is seeking to fill a research assistant position (E13 TV-L) with 65% of the regular weekly working hours as soon as possible. The position is initially limited to 3 years, but can be extended in the context of a doctorate. The full-time teaching commitment is 4 SWS.

About our Institute:

We combine expertise in chemistry, management and technology to address ecological and economic challenges in the chemical industry and related sectors. We conduct interdisciplinary research in four related fields: 1) Innovation and Technology Management, 2) Electrochemical Energy Storage Technology, 3) Sustainability and Circular Economy, 4) Business Models. Our study programmes include the interdisciplinary Master's degree course in Business Chemistry.

Your tasks:

  • The position is associated with the realisation of a doctoral project
  • Carrying out independent research in the field of business chemistry
  • Support in the acquisition of third-party funds
  • Collaboration in teaching - supervision of theses

Our expectations:

  • A scientific university degree (Master's/Diploma/State Examination) in Business Chemistry, Chemistry or a related subject is required.
  • A good command of written and spoken English is required.
  • Knowledge of German is an advantage.
  • Initial experience in scientific work is desirable.
  • Experience from relevant internships in management consultancies and/or companies in the chemical or pharmaceutical industry is an advantage.
  • Teamwork and communication skills as well as the ability to work independently on projects are essential.
