Welcome to the 19. Koordinationschemietreffen (KCT 2025), which is held at the University of Münster from February 24th to 26th 2025. The KCT has grown from its humble beginnings in 2005 to a renowned international conference with ever increasing scientific impact and up to 250 participants, mostly originating from the German-speaking countries Germany, Switzerland and Austria. The scope of the conference is reflected in a diverse range of topics that cover fundamental questions of coordination chemistry, aspects of molecular magnetism, photophysical properties, medicinal chemistry, structure-property relations and biotechnological applications. The conference serves as a networking event for independent researchers but importantly also offers early-career academic researchers an opportunity to make a name for themselves.
In the tradition of the Koordinationschemietreffen, the talks are held by PhD students. Each group may contribute one talk and two poster presentations. The participation of additional group members is welcome!

Founded more than 1200 years ago, the city of Münster looks back on plenty of history. In 1648, Münster became a city of peace when the Treaty of Westphalia was signed here. After the Napoleonic era, the city became the capital of the Province of Westphalia. Severely damaged in World War II, Münster was rapidly rebuilt in the 1950s. Today, the combination of old street network and modern buildings attracts a large number of tourists from all over the world. In 2004, Münster has been awarded the title of „World‘s Most Livable City” (LivCom Award 2004). With more than 300 000 inhabitants, Münster is an important economic and scientific centre in the northwestern part of Germany. The city hosts the University of Münster and the University of Applied Sciences, both together currently educating some 60 000 students in more than 180 disciplines.
