Just one week after his successful defence, Max Linhorst was awarded with the official doctoral certificate and, equally important, with the doctoral hat prepared by his colleagues from our team. Max had finalised the experimental part of his project already quite some time ago but already during the final part of the project, he had started working for Evorion Biotechnologies, offering his expertise in biopolymer modification. When the work on his doctoral project was finished, he continued working with this first start-up stemming from our group. And as often happens in such a case, writing the thesis became slower and more difficult the more time passed. But he succeeded eventually, submitted his thesis and defended it successfully.
