Go on a nature discovery tour in the middle of the city — the Tree Discovery Trail in the Schlossgarten of the University of Münster!
Our Tree Discovery Trail leads you on eight stops across the Schlossgarten. Each stop is related to the topic "tree ecosystem". They include: woodpeckers, deadwood and mushrooms, insects, the uses of wood, bats and tree varieties. You can read the information on the signs at each stop. Texts and pictures give you information in a vivid way, at the same time you can test your knowledge by answering questions! The information at the stations is in German. We also offer an English brochure. You can download the PDF here from the website. Printed booklets in English are available free of charge in the Botanical Garden and in the Schloss.
Are you curious now?
Then let's go! You can walk the circular trail (barrier-free) on your own. The stops are self-explanatory. The stops in the Schlossgarten are in German language but you can use the English brochure (64 pages). We also offer a print copy that you can get for free in the Botanical Garden and in the Schloss. The tour lasts about 1.5 hours.
