W2-Professur für „Didaktik der Mathematik mit dem Schwerpunkt Primarstufe“

dauerhaft zu besetzen.

Gesucht wird eine international ausgewiesene Persönlichkeit, die das Gebiet der Didaktik der Mathematik mit dem Schwerpunkt Primarstufe, vorzugsweise im Forschungsfeld digitaler Medien, vertritt und die am Institut für grundlegende und inklusive mathematische Bildung bestehenden Forschungs- und Lehrgebiete in sinnvoller Weise ergänzt.
Die/Der Stelleninhaber*in ist vor allem für den Bachelor- und Masterstudiengang für das Lehramt an Grundschulen im Lernbereich II Mathematische Grundbildung zuständig, was die Mitwirkung in der Selbstverwaltung und die Abnahme von Prüfungen einschließt. Außerdem sollte die Bereitschaft zur Mitarbeit in der Lehre im Studiengang für das Lehramt sonderpädagogische Förderung im Fach Mathematik der Klassen 1-10 (FS Lernen und soziale und emotionale Entwicklung) vorhanden sein.

Voraussetzung für die Einstellung sind fundierte mathematische und mathematikdidaktische Kenntnisse, eine einschlägige Promotion sowie darüber hinausgehende zusätzliche wissenschaftliche Leistungen im Bereich der Mathematikdidaktik, die im Rahmen einer Juniorprofessur, einer Habilitation oder einer Tätigkeit als wissenschaftliche/-r Mitarbeiter*in an einer Hochschule oder außeruniversitären Einrichtung oder im Rahmen einer wissenschaftlichen Tätigkeit in Wirtschaft, Verwaltung oder in einem anderen gesellschaftlichen Bereich im In- und Ausland erbracht worden sind.
Lehrerfahrungen im Bereich der Primarstufe werden vorausgesetzt. Drittmittelerfahrung und eine mehrjährige Unterrichtstätigkeit an Schulen oder anderweitigen pädagogischen Einrichtungen sind wünschenswert.

The Institute of Fundamental and Inclusive Mathematics Education (IGIMB) of the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science (FB 10) at the University of Münster seeks to fill the following permanent position at the earliest possible date:

Professorship (W2-level) in “Mathematics Education with a focus on Primary Education”

We are looking for an internationally distinguished academic to represent the field of mathematics education with a focus on primary education – preferably in the research field of digital media – and to complement existing research and teaching activities at the Institute of Fundamental and Inclusive Mathematics Education (IGIMB) in a meaningful way.
The selected candidate will be mainly responsible for the bachelor’s and master’s teaching degree programmes in Subject Area II: Mathematical Fundamentals at the primary school level, which includes completing self-administrative tasks and administering examinations. Moreover, the candidate should be willing to provide instruction in mathematics (grade levels 1-10) in the “Teacher in Special and Inclusive Education” programme (special needs focus: learning and social and emotional development).

To be considered for this position, the candidate should have extensive expertise in mathematics and mathematics education, hold a subject-related doctoral degree, and possess additional academic qualifications in mathematics education obtained through an assistant professorship (Juniorprofessur), habilitation (postdoctoral qualification), as a member of the academic staff of a university or non-university research institute, or in a research position in business, industry, administration or other relevant field in Germany or abroad.
Practical teaching experience at the primary school level is required. Experience with acquiring external funding and several years of practical teaching experience at schools or other educational institutions would be desirable.
