General Information and Guidelines for Thesis Work

If you intend to write your thesis in a field of research within our work unit, there are several points you should be aware of. The following list is intended as a guideline:

• Read the handout Handout zum Schreiben wissenschaftlicher Abschlussarbeiten carefully. By questions please ask your individual mentor for advice.
• It makes sense to attend the research colloquium of or work unit to insure proper supervision.
• Students with a major in psychology are required to attend the colloquium! Please remember to sign up over the QISPOS portal.
• On the webpage Arbeitsmaterialien you will find information and handouts for writing research papers and theses. Please use these materials as a source of information for writing your paper and be sure to heed the advice given there.
• Please make sure to document your work while writing your thesis. A digital document (Word, PDF) and a copy of the research data used should be turned over to your mentor when your thesis is completed. Of course, your data will be handeled in accordance with all general legal requirements and may only be used with regard to copyright law,  data protection and privacy laws.
