The Graduate School Practices of Literature organised a five-day field trip to the German Literarature Archive Marbach (7th - 12th February). The graduate students became acquainted with one of Germany's major literature archives and were able to use the facilities for their own research.
Besides taking a guided tour of the archive, visiting Friedrich Schiller's birth house and the Museum of Modern Literature (Literaturmuseum der Moderne, LiMo), the students had enough time to work on their dissertation projects. They had access to the exceptional library, to the documentation centre that files a wide range of literary production in Germany, and they were able to directly access handwritten manuscripts in the archive.
