Research Topics

Light Conversion in Waveguides

In my Ph.D. I am working on synchronously pumped silicon nitride waveguide-based optical parametric oscillators (WOPOs), exploiting four-wave mixing, targeting the further miniaturization of OPO light sources. These compact and efficient chip-based light sources show great potential for, e.g., nonlinear microscopy and spectroscopy. I enjoy working on silicon nitride waveguides, because they are so small and yet so powerful!
