Register now: International Conference “Kraftwerk Batterie - Advanced Battery Power 2022”
From the development of innovative materials to battery cell production and its application to recycling: At the 14th international conference “Kraftwerk Batterie - Advanced Battery Power”, experts and interested parties from science and industry can learn about the entire supply chain of batteries. The conference in English language will take place on 29 and 30 March 2022 at Messe und Congress Centrum Halle Münsterland in the university city of Münster. Lectures, discussion panels, poster sessions and a keynote by the renowned battery researcher Prof. Dr Khalil Amine, Argonne National Lab USA, await the participants.
The established conference will be hosted by MEET Battery Research Center of the University of Münster and Helmholtz Institute Münster of Forschungszentrum Jülich together with the Institute for Power Electronics and Electrical Drives (ISEA) of RWTH Aachen University and Haus der Technik (Essen).
Keynote lectures by Prof. Dr. Khalil Amine and Dr. Daniela Werlich
In his presentation “Advanced next generation lithium battery and beyond”, Prof. Dr Khalil Amine will provide insights into his research. The renowned scientist is leader of the advanced battery technology team at Argonne National Laboratory in the U.S., where he is responsible for research and development of advanced materials and battery systems for a wide range of applications such as electromobility, satellites and medicine. The practical application of electromobility will be the focus of Dr Daniela Werlich, CTO at CUSTOMCELLS® in Itzehoe, in her presentation “V2X - E-cars with a new role in the energy grid - requirements towards battery cells”. The chemist is responsible for the technical development of the company. Further, she is member of the management board of the Competence Cluster for Battery Cell Production (ProZell) and the Competence Cluster for Solid-State Batteries (FestBatt) as well as a board member of the German Competence Network Lithium-Ion Batteries (KLiB).
Digital summary of the conference already available in advance
Prior to the conference, all participants will receive access to the digital event platform, which complements the face-to-face conference. Short summaries of the posters and lectures can be found there. In this way, the program can be put together individually in advance. Further information on the program is available here.
Technology showcase
On 28 March 2022, the day before the conference “Kraftwerk Batterie - Advanced Battery Power”, the Battery Day NRW will take place. It presents products, services and achievements of companies and institutions in North-Rhine Westphalia which are active in the battery technology and application market. The organizer is Haus der Technik with the German cluster “NanoMicroMaterialsPhotonics.NRW” and ElektroMobilität NRW. The event language is German.
Further information and registration for the events can be found on the event website.
