In this seminar we will look at discrimination and privilege from a social psychological perspective.
In the first part of the seminar, students will read scholarly articles on a weekly basis and come up with discussion questions about them. The articles will then be briefly summarized and discussed in more depth in the seminar. At the end of the sessions, students will briefly reflect on their learnings.
In another part of the seminar, students will create infographics based on what they learned in the first part of the seminar and present them in a poster session at the end of the seminar. This will constitute the seminar performance (Prüfungsleistung). Alternatively, students can write a several-page reflection paper on the contents of the seminar.
Since the seminar lives on active exchange and discussion, it is aimed at students who are able to attend regularly.
