MA Seminar Transcultural Encounters. Africa Globally Connected:
The seminar deals with how Africa is contextualised and embedded in today's globalised world, what role it plays and how global connections are reflected in its local particularities. The interconnection and exchange on and beyond the African continent will be discussed on the basis of topics such as global politics, migration, music, religion, transcultural medicine and the economy of natural resources. The seminar will broaden the focus on Africa and its correlation to Europe by including the perspective of Africa's connectivity to other geographical settings such as Asia.
