Gegenstand dieses Seminars sind aktuelle Forschungsfelder in Finance. Die Themen sind eng mit der Forschung des Lehrstuhls für Derivate und Financial Engineering sowie der Professur für Finance verbunden. Die Seminarteilnehmer müssen eine Arbeit zu einem spezifischen Thema verfasssen, für die sie sich auf Artikel aus internationalen Fachzeitschriften stützen werden. Je nach Thema müssen die Seminarteilnehmer auch eine kleine empirische Studie durchführen. Alle Teilnehmer werden ihre Arbeit in einem gemeinsamen Plenum vorstellen und diskutieren.
Subjects of this seminar are selected topics in Finance. The topics are closely related to the research of the Chair of Derivatives and Financial Engineering as well as the Professorship of Finance. Seminar participants have to write a paper on a specific topic, for which they will rely on articles from international journals and working papers. Depending on the topic, seminar participants might have to conduct a small empirical study. All participants will present and discuss their work in a joint plenum.
