Light has enabled life on our earth since time immemorial, but it was only modern optics that recognized the full potential of light as a medium - from lasers to optical storage and communication technology to numerous applications in modern molecular biology and medicine.
Photonics aims to explore the potential of the carrier of light - the photon - for information and communication technology and new key areas such as biology and medicine. Photonics deals with topics from the fields of classical optics, nonlinear optics and quantum optics in order to develop new applications. In addition to learning the content, the lecturers should be given the opportunity to get to know new multimedia techniques and improve their own presentation style. Therefore the seminar starts with a compact event "Lecture training and rhetoric" with individual lecture analysis and video feedback.
Licht ermöglicht seit Urzeiten das Leben auf unserer Erde, doch erst die moderne Optik hat das gesamte Potential des Mediums Licht erkannt - vom Laser über die optische Speicherung und Kommunikationstechnologie bis hin zu zahlreichen Anwendungen in der modernen molekularen Biologie und Medizin.
Die Photonik hat die Erforschung des Potentials des Trägers des Lichts - des Photons - für die Informations- und Kommunikationstechnik sowie neue Schlüsselbereiche wie Biologie und Medizin zum Ziel. In der Photonik werden Themen aus Bereichen der klassischen Optik, der nichtlinearen Optik und der Quantenoptik bearbeitet, um daraus neue Anwendungen zu entwickeln. Im Seminar soll ein Überblick über die verschiedenen Bereiche gegeben werden, wobei der Schwerpunkt auf den Anwendungen in der Informationstechnolgie und der Biophotonik liegt. Weitere Infos unter

Zusätzlich zum inhaltlichen Lernen soll den Vortragenden die Möglichkeit gegeben werden, neue Multimedia-Techniken kennen zu lernen und den eigenen Vortragsstil zu verbessern. Daher startet das Seminar mit eine Kompaktveranstaltung "Vortragstraining und Rhetorik" mit individueller Vortragsanalyse und Video-Feedback.
