The course will start in the 2nd lecture week only.
<p>This practically oriented course teaches knowledge in the field of map design using geographic information systems (GIS). Some of the subjects are:</p> <p>(1) Introduction to GIS & Cartographic Basics</p> <p>(2) Open Data & Commercial Datasources</p> <p>(3) Map Making and Production in 2D & 3D</p> <p>The content and methods presented in the lectures are practically implemented in the exercises. The students will use different software components (QGIS and ArcGIS) to fulfill different intermediate tasks and one final project.</p> <p> </p>
