Prof Dr Torbjörn Tannsjö
Torbjörn Tännsjö is Kristian Claëson Professor of Practical Philosophy at Stockholm University and director of Stockholm Centre for Health Care Ethics at Stockholm University. He is also Affiliated Professor for Medical Ethics at Karolinska Institutet. Professor Tännsjö is member of the medical ethics committee of The National Board of Health and Welfare, member of the ethics board of Karolinska Institute, and a member of the board of the ethics program at Oslo University. During the fall of 2008 he was a research fellow at the Swedish Collegium for Advanced Study.
His research focusses on questions of Medical Ethics and Metaethics as well as on Political Philosophy. His recent publications include the books From Reasons to Norms (2010, Springer), Coercive Care: Ethics of Choice in Health and Medicine (1999, Routledge), and Global Democracy: The Case for a World Government (2008, Edinburgh University Press).
