Mihaela Frunză is a practising philosopher, teaching ethics at the Babes-Bolyai University of Cluj, Romania. She is a member of the Romanian Society of Bioetics and belongs to the board of the Academic Society for the Research of Religions and Ideologies (SACRI). Frunză has written several papers on ethical and legal aspects of unrelated living donors in Romania. She contributes to the EULOD project with ethical analysis of the arguments concerning performing live donation.
