Data Analysis with SPSS I (Beginner's Course)

Content: This course introduces the SPSS Statistics data analysis and statistics program. The contents of the course include:

  • Introduction to the user interface of SPSS
  • Creating data sets and variables
  • Recoding and transforming variables
  • Data set management
  • Data transfer to or from Excel
  • Calculation and interpretation of frequency distributions and statistic parameters
  • Univariate and bivariate descriptive statistics with SPSS
  • Suitable graphical representations

Target Group: students without previous programme knowledge; basic statistical knowledge is helpful, but not required

    Type of Instruction: 3 days, each with a 3-hour Zoom conference, practical exercises with video inputs supervised by instructors
