General Terms and Conditions of Business and Use (In-Person Training)
Status: 18.02.2025
1 Scope of application
The business relationship between the CIT and the participant shall be governed exclusively by the following General Terms and Conditions in the version valid at the time of registration.
2 Conclusion of contract
Your registration constitutes an offer to us to conclude a contract. We accept this offer if we provide you with a place on a course. Please note that our registration is personal and non-transferable. The participant may only take part in the software training course once the contract has been concluded. Only students and doctoral candidates of the CIT are eligible to participate, provided they are registered as participants in the registration system after the registration deadline. If eligible participants do not appear at the start of the course, they forfeit their entitlement. In this case, the lecturers can offer places on the course to other interested parties in the order in which they appear, subject to availability.
3. waiting lists
If a course date is already fully booked, interested parties can put themselves on a waiting list for the date and remove themselves from this list in the “My CIT software training courses” section. As soon as a course place becomes available, it is automatically allocated to the first person on the waiting list. Waiting lists are regularly deleted at the end of a course phase.
4. certificates of attendance
Certificates of attendance will be made available for download in the personal area “My CIT software training courses” after the course. The prerequisite for this is the attendance of the participant during the entire course as confirmed by the lecturer. Certificates of attendance can be downloaded up to a maximum of 24 months after the course date. Certificates of attendance will only be made available digitally.
5 Withdrawal / revocation / forfeiture of the course place
Registration for courses is binding. However, the participant has the option of withdrawing from the contract by canceling online up to 24 hours before the start of the course. Anyone who repeatedly fails to attend course dates will be barred from using the course program for a period of six months. The suspension comes into effect automatically if three courses are missed within 12 months. The current status can be called up at any time in the “My CIT software training courses” area; in addition, an e-mail notification is sent for each missed course.
6 Cancellation of course dates
If a course cannot take place, e.g. due to force majeure, illness or if the minimum number of 7 participants is not reached, the participant will be informed by e-mail. There is no entitlement to a place on another course or a repeat of the course.
7. exclusion of liability
The CIT accepts no liability for damage to property or financial losses incurred by participants in connection with the training courses or their cancellation and for claims between participants.
8. data protection
We know that the careful handling of your personal data is important to you. Accordingly, we appreciate the trust you have placed in us to handle your personal data conscientiously. By accepting these GTC by registering for one of our courses or waiting lists, you give us your consent to collect, process and use your personal data for the purpose of course preparation, implementation and evaluation, to check attendance, to transmit information on the training program, to maintain waiting lists and to issue certificates of attendance. This consent can be revoked at any time with effect for the future. The participant lists are archived for a maximum of 24 months from the date of the course and then automatically deleted. Waiting lists are automatically deleted 12 months after the end of the course. The data will not be passed on to third parties or used for any other purpose than that stated here.
9 Validity
These conditions apply to all participants in the CIT training program.
